Here you will find the complete index of mammals in snowdonia.

There are 58 species of terrestrial wild mammals in Britain. This includes species introduced by man, such as the mink, but excludes purely marine species such as dolphins and also domestic and agricultural animals. Within Snowdonia we have 42 to 46 species of wild mammal. The lack of certainty about the number is concrete evidence for species such as the pine marten.

The following pages are not meant to be a definitive description of each species but a snapshot of their distribution and status within Snowdonia.
