Although recording efforts indicate that this species is fairly widespread there are very few known roosts of the Natterers bat in Snowdonia. This species is the subject of a Local Biodiversity Action Plan (LBAP). As with all British bats, the Natterers bat receives full legal protection under both UK & EU legislation.
Although the Natterers bat is widespread in the UK, with the exception of areas of northern Scotland, it is a relatively uncommon species.
