Although commonly recorded foraging over water throughout Snowdonia only one roost of this species has so far been located. As with all British bats, the Daubentons bat receives full legal protection under both UK & EU legislation.

The Daubentons bat is widespread in the UK, with the exception of areas of northern Scotland, and is a relatively common species
